Still pregnant!

I'm still here at 39 weeks 3 days. I guess my theory of the baby being here by Oct. 2 got blown out of the water awhile ago, eh? hahaha. It's alright, though. I actually enjoy all of the suspense. I'm sure I sound impatient on Facebook and when I talk to people because I always seem to be thinking "today is the day!" but in all honesty, it's kind of fun. lol. I figure it'll continue to be fun until Friday when I'm 40 weeks. At that point I'll probably start to get a little impatient and panicky since my doctor will start trying to talk induction and that's not really a conversation I want to have. She tried going down that road at our last appointment and I cut her off and said "I'd rather not talk induction at this point, you said I could go to 42 weeks as long as the baby is still healthy, so let's wait until my due date before we even bring it up again." She had a good chuckle at me since most women are practically begging their doctors to get the baby out of them by this point. (c;

I'm sure the post I made about pregnancy sucking awhile back has most of you thinking I'm miserable right now, but I'm not. I wasn't then. I was just having a reaaaaally bad day. lol. I'm not nearly as uncomfortable at 39+ weeks as I thought I would be. I listen to some of the women in my due date club and you'd think they were dying. And I'm sure it is like that for some women... I still get uncomfortable, depending on where exactly baby is, and I have to pee a lot and all sorts of other junk - and it does suck a lot of the time, lol - but to be honest, I figured I'd be downright horribly miserable by this point in pregnancy and I'm just not. So yay to that. That's not to say I'm not ready for it to be over, I sooooooo am, but if I have another week so be it. I'll survive.

This blog must crack people up. You can really tell what type of mood I'm in... Some days I think everything sucks and other days it isn't so bad and then there are days where I love it (though I haven't had one of those in a little while, heh).

Anyway, I've been doing a lot of brisk walking outside with the dogs lately to try and start up some contractions. I walk as fast as I can until I'm out of breath and getting cramps in my sides, then I slow it down a bit... I've gotten a few contractions from this, but usually just a stand alone one or two. This kind of annoys me since two months ago I could never have walked this much without getting a ton of contractions! lol. I wonder what was going on with my body back then that made me get all those contractions, I still wish I had some answers. Oh well! I've also been doing my prenatal yoga dvd every day, which is just really good at stretching me out and preparing me for labor. I doubt it would actually bring on labor, but it's definitely helping me to get my body ready! Plus in yoga you do the same type of breathing that you'd want to do during labor - slowly in through your nose, out through your mouth - so it's been good to practice that as well. I'm just really hoping labor starts with contractions and not with my water breaking. Ideally I'd like to labor at home for as long as possible, which I obviously can't do if my water breaks because they want you to head into the hospital immediately if it does. But I'll survive if that is how it starts - I think it's 15-20% of labors start with the water breaking, so obviously there's a pretty big chance that that's how it'll go. I'd just prefer the other option. (c:

What is it with me and just coming here to ramble? lol. Sorry. Congratulations to those of you that made it to the end!
