This will be short as I'm sitting in the hospital as I type it, but Alexander Dean Merritt joined us at 11:12 a.m. on October 17. He weighed in at 6 lbs 14 oz and was 19 inches long. Also, he would like to point out that he is indeed a boy, not a girl like the sonogram suggested.
Baby and mom are doing fantastic. Mom was a trooper, and made it through the entire delivery without any pain killers whatsoever. I have the fingernail marks in my hand to prove it.
