34 Weeks!

Holy crappola! Only 3 more weeks until I'm term! Six til I'm due! Eek!

Nothing out of the ordinary at my doctors appointment Tuesday. Baby is measuring right on at 34 weeks and had a heartbeat of 150. My blood pressure is good, as always, so no issues with mommy. Yay. Haven't had any contractions in ages, so that's good. My next doctors appointment is on September 8 with Dr. Farr and after that I start having appointments every week! How on Earth am I to that point already?! lol. I have the Strep B test next time, so we're hoping that's negative so that I don't have to get pumped full of antibiotics during L&D. I read that 10-35% of women are Strep B positive - that's a huge percentage of the population! Yikes. Please send me lots of Strep B negative vibes so that I don't end up having to get an IV when I go into labor!! I'd rather not have to lug that thing behind me as I try and run (okay, walk... slowly) laps around the hospital!

I think baby is starting to change her position at last. For ages now she's been nice and comfy with her head under my right rib and her butt/legs by my left hips. The last few nights it feels as though she's been moving veeeery slowly to a new home. I *think* she's basically head down, only maybe not quite. Sometimes it seems like her head is a little to the right, kinda by my hip? She's still back and forth a bit, I don't think she's quite made up her mind as to where she wants to be! lol. Fine by me, as long as she's head down by 35 weeks and stays there! I'm pretty sore from all of this movement, though. She's been pushing her way around, so I feel kind of bruised up and stretched out all over my abdomen right now. Fun times. (c; Also, the right side of my stomach sticks out farther than the left, so that's fun.

We're still working on the nursery. All the major stuff is pretty much done, but there are still boxes and packages all over the place. We mainly have decorating to do at this point. We've been updating the Picasa album, so if you want to see what else we've done you can view the albumhere:

Nursery

We've done a little bit more to it since the last picture, but haven't uploaded any pics yet. Just keep checking back to that album and we'll update it at least once a week!

I got all of the baby clothes and blankets and what-not washed up last week, so they're all put away. I don't want to buy any more onesies or clothes at this point until I KNOW KNOW KNOW this is a girl. We mainly have white or neutral stuff, so I don't want to buy any more just yet so that I can get some girlie stuff too. I have enough that I won't have to run to the store right after she's born... I still need to wash the cloth diapers, but I'm waiting on a few more that should come in the mail any day now, so once those are here I'll get to prepping them! Once I get everything in I plan on taking some pictures and doing a post just on cloth diapers, so I won't ramble on about those today...

In not so fun news, Western is back in session and all of the students are back. Gah. I shouldn't complain since they're the reason I have a job, but still. I work in the University health center and every semester about a week after the students return I find myself with a cold. Well this year is on track to be the same as any other! It's been one week since students returned and I've been sitting here all day getting stuffier and stuffier. Crap. Just in time for the weekend, too! Oh well, hopefully this will be the only cold I get this year. Usually I do only get this one cold and then I'm miraculously immune the rest of the season, but we'll see how that works this year! lol. Time to break out the NettiPot (which, by the way, is the best invention ever - if you don't have one I highly recommend buying one NOW, before you get your next cold)!

Well I suppose I've talked enough for one blog.
